I mostly liked the fact that we got to work on different types of projects ranging from movies to typography and things like that. I like variety, I don't get as bored.
2. What was your favorite project and why?
My favorite project was the typography movie. I liked it because I knew absolutely nothing about the topic of typography and was then able to make a decent film for it. I was interested in typography before, but I had no idea how it was made or anything else about it. Since I'm a perfectionist, I worked on it for a while to get the timing right. I also liked the project because I learned about color schemes, fonts and how to make different combinations of the two to make a beautiful effect.
3. In general, what did you like least about this class?
I detested all the deadlines. Everything was so fast paced that I don't remember doing half of the stuff that I did. As soon as you're done with something you have to be halfway done with the next project to hand it in on time. Not good for stress at all. Also the fact the the mac could be taken over by the instructor, I'm paranoid that someone will hack and control my PC now.
4. What was your least favorite project and why?
I don't think I've hated any project. I got frustrated with them often enough though. I was interested with learning the darn green screen but I don't think I really quite got it right. Also, I tried doing stop motion for extra credit... yeah, that idea was not a good one. I gave up with my $10 camera.
5. What are your future plans upon graduation?
I plan on getting a job. I hope to work for a while to save up a little to help pay for some more schooling. I'd really like to travel abroad for something. I'd like to travel. But definitely get a job and some more experience under my belt.
6. Do you feel that this class will help you achieve your future academic or career goals? Please give specific examples.
I absolutely think that the class has helped me. I'm very interested with TV and movies and studying shows. I got to work with equipment and how to handle it. I worked on a MAC computer for the whole year, which was something I've never done before and now I can work on both types of computers. I also became more savvy with photo shop, which I adore.
7. What advice would you give to incoming students?
1) Be yourself, it's a lame and common phrase but it's true.
2) Some stress is good, it keeps you on your toes, but don't let it completely control you. You can get sick that way and it's almost never as bad as it seems. Have something in your life that will always cheer you up during rough patches.
3) Coffee. Have a lot of coffee, it's how you get through the year. Or tea, tea is also nice.
4) Get your priorities straight. Know what you want and go for the gold. You can be a champion.
5) Do the work even if your talented ('Cause no matter what there always seems to be someone better than you...) We are our own worst critics, so pay attention to details!
6) Enjoy life. It's short, and in retrospect the year goes by fast so you better enjoy the people you work with and don't be cynical. I don't believe anything good has ever come out by being cynical.

8. Additional comments:
I've never been so stressed or worried in my life while dealing with school. I was constantly on edge and panicking that I'd fail. I'm pretty sure I went crazy a few times... It was the best school year I've ever had, and I can't wait for more. Ciao.
